Alyssa had worked in an animal hospital for 8 years in Alexandria when she went on a brief exploration into entrepreneurship. She soon started to miss veterinary medicine and returned to it to focus on behavior, pain management, preventative medicine, and client education.

BS in Wildlife Science from Virginia Tech with minors in Forestry, Biology, and Recreation

AAS Degree in Veterinary Technology from Northern Virginia Community College
She is originally from Richmond, VA but now lives in Maryland with her husband, their 2 kids, a mutt named Mak, and a tortie, Pixie. She loves to run and be outside!
Alyssa is our unofficial bear expert. She spent 3 summers trapping and collaring black bears in NC and NY and another summer leading teams in a brown bear population study in Alaska.
