Lauren Pike
Dr. Pike was born in Huntsville, AL, and spent a lot of her childhood trying to save all the injured bunnies, birds, and toads that she came across. After graduating from high school in Indiana, she moved back south to obtain her Bachelors in Biology from The University of the South (Sewanee). She knew she needed more formal education if she actually wanted to save some of those beloved animals, so she went to veterinary school at Auburn University (she was there when they won the Football National Championship - War Eagle!).
After graduating, she moved to Northern Virginia and worked as a general practitioner for 7 years before exclusively performing diagnostic ultrasound for 3 years. While she loved the experience she got in Internal Medicine and Oncology doing this, she missed the relationships she could build with owners and patients while doing general practice. She is very excited to be joining the team at Clarendon Animal Care!
Dr. Pike lives in Annandale with her husband, 2 amazing but high energy sons, a 3 legged poodle, and 2 cats. She enjoys spending time hiking with her family and dog, reading, and traveling.
