Corinne Plough Dvm

Corinne Plough, DVM

Associate Veterinarian – CAC North

Dr. Plough was born and raised in New Orleans and started riding horses at four years old. During high school, she considered a career in broadcast journalism, but her love for animals ultimately pulled her back to the sciences. She is particularly proud of her combination of the two fields — using her communication skills to help clients more thoroughly understand options and treatments for their pet.

She earned her undergraduate and doctorate degrees from LSU in Baton Rouge (Geaux Tigers!) before she moved to the D.C. area for an additional year of training with an internship at Friendship Hospital for Animals. During that year, she fell in love with the area and decided to make D.C. her home — and she has never looked back!

Dr. Plough is interested in all aspects of preventative care, with a particular interest in ophthalmology. She is also passionate about helping puppies and kittens become well-rounded family members from the start. Her favorite part about working at CAC is the incredibly collaborative environment and sense of teamwork!

When she isn’t at CAC, Dr. Plough enjoys day hikes, biking around DC, reading, and the intermittent crafting project. She also has a fond love of macaroni and cheese, dark chocolate, and all things Harry Potter. She doesn’t currently have any pets after losing her previous “heart dog” Oscar (the love of her life, aside from her husband of course), but hopes to add another four-legged kiddo to the family in the future when the time is right.
