Emari Yokota

Dr. Yokota did her undergraduate studies at Virginia Tech in Animal and Poultry Sciences and went on to graduate from the University of Florida for vet school in 2013.

After completing a small animal rotating internship at Southpaws, she has been working in general practice in the Northern Virginia area since 2015. Her general medical interests include optimizing patient health, client communication, acupuncture, surgery and ultrasonography.

Her weakness – black cats. She loves them. Her general hobbies include watching trash shows like the Bachelor, DIY projects, making and eating food, gardening, and taking nature walks with the family.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Animal and Poultry Sciences from Virginia Tech

  • DVM from the University of Florida
